But... Really, there's not much to go on prior to Starfox Adventures, sooo...
Our story begins in Cerinia, where our character's life begins. A planet far off from the system of Lylat, where the familiar team of Starfox lay. On this planet shrouded with mystery, we can take a lot to say this. They are magic users who use mystical items for their everyday life and everything else you could think of. A civilization that seems so tribal, but it is also very advanced at the same time.
But that is not the center of our attention at the moment, this is! Within Cerinia ruled a great King and Queen. Born from these two came Krystal. Krystal's life was generally peaceful, honing her skills in combat, magic and even telepathy; she was amazingly gifted when it came to those. Life was good and she certainly kept an amazing relationship with her parents and her family. Nothing could go wrong in her life, right?
Well... Not exactly. As all good things come along, they have to have their share of bad things. However, for Krystal, this was not something that could be taken lightly. Her life took a terrible descend with such an extreme speed. One day, the Alien Vixen was just going along her usual route of things, in the middle of a work-out with her staff, when all of a sudden the planet was plagued by disaster. It ravaged the land and even destroyed the entire planet. Krystal was able to escape, of course, before she too was to join the rest of her planet in their eternal rest. Though, it did leave her with a lot of questions. Who did this? Why did they do it to my planet? Was I really destined for something like this?
So like any person with unanswered questions, she sought the answers to them, one way or another. Krystal began her extensive search on the creator of such destruction that befell her beloved family, friends and planet. Her journey stretched far and wide through her system, and her search drew her into the Lylat System. It seemed to be turning out all for naught, until she picked up a distress signal from the Earthwalkers on the planet Sauria. Thinking that this would be the planet that would help her mystery be solved, she departed for it.
... and then you know the rest of Star Fox Adventures happens which is you know located right over here.
[ Personality ] :
Krystal is quite a lot of things. She's one with a pure heart, wanting to help those who are in need. She's also quite the kind soul, and enjoys time around her friends and her companions that she is either on good or mutual grounds with. She would not hesitate to lift a paw if the situation is given. While seeking answers to what had happened to the fate of her planet, she didn't hesitate to stop by Sauria whenever a distress signal reached her.
The fox has been brought up in the ways of her people, she is a creature raised through royal blood, but it did not morph herself into that of a real princess... you know, the ones that have more of an attitude. Even if she does have the blood of a princess, she would much rather live with the lives of her people and not wanting to have her life being taken care of. Krystal is the opposite of those types of people, actually considerably a tomboy than anything. She enjoys getting herself into the action, especially if she knows that she can help. GOD DAMN SHE LOVES HELPING PEOPLE. Have I said that enough? Cause, she certainly does.Who else would answer distress signals by dinosaurs?
She's also a considerably sharp thinker in dire situations. Krystal is able to assess a situation and think it through rationally, given he training that she has been through. She is able to come up with not only a plan, but a backup plan and a backup for that backup plan as well. Think through situations if she can, but only if she has just enough time to. However, that's not guaranteed that her plans will actually work out. There are times where she would rather try taking action first than actually getting a quick plan up. She's a fighter, and she's known how to figure out what to do and how to defend herself.
One big thing that she DOES have a problem on is her thickheadedness when it comes into play. While she can show that she does have a true heart, but right after being helped out from the crystal and evading death, she rudely nabbed her staff back from Fox and tried to shoot Andross while he was well out of reach. She didn't even thank him or anything for saving her from death! It was... kind of rude of her. However, she does realize her mistakes and she returned after the defeat of Andross to give proper thanks to Fox. So, she's not all that bad. She's just... a bit of a brat at times.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Whenever it comes to her own abilities, Krystal does have one in paritcular that has helped her quite a bit: Her Telekinesis. Krystal is able to send and receive messages to people and because of this it aids in her ability to pick up certain languages.
She is a skilled one. Her history at her home planet means that she has had a well-rounded experience with staves, staffs and other weapons. Along with her skill in handling her melee weapon, she can also channel magic into it for a charged magic attack, such as a fire blast or a freezing attack. Because of this, she's also become remarkably skilled in her weaponry, yo.
tl;dr version

Weaknesses:
She can be a bit hardheaded
